Hi,
It has now been 118 hours since I last slept and it's starting to really affect my ability to lose weight regardless of how well I have eaten!
I have tried drinking warm milk, reading for 4 hours straight and just lying in bed with my eyes shut.
Does anyone have any suggestions or magical cures for insomnia?
Really appreciate any suggestions!

hi, I found that lying in bed was the worst thing to do when I had this a few years back. I found that the most boring jobs, like ironing was good for making me feel tired. I also took Nytol for 2 days and that got me back into the sleep pattern. But if you have been awake for that long, perhaps its time to go seek medical advice. It can have effects on your health. Good luck0

I know exactly how you are feeling, Ive had very little sleep over the past few days and its beginning to catch up with me. It has a knock on effect as I am too tired to exercise to my full potential or even at all!
Have you tried lavinder? its supposed to help you sleep. You can put it into a bath just before bed and also on your pillows
Its just a suggestion but worth a try?

Have you tried hops? They are one of the best herbal remedies for restlessness and insomnia there is. A pillow of dried hops works wonders
I would suggest you seek medical advice having not slept for so long though, it really is not good for you to have not slept for that long.
Hope that helps.0 -
Have someone else drive you to a doctor!
Could this be based on anxiety? Your doctor may need to prescribe a sleep aid. Your insomnia sounds pretty serious.0 -

I agree with the above comment. You should have someone drive you to the doctor. That's a very longtime to go without sleep.0

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I went to the doctor today and he prescribed me a tablet that will make me drowsy rather than knock me out but can only take them for 2 days. Had them before and they worked for the two days but after that I struggle again.
Also went to the shops and got some lavender drops for the pillow and some lavender bath oil so fingers crossed.
Not sure about the anxiety question, nothing that is standing out.0
