I'm bad at recording what I eat - and I just happened to find this website today. Seems like it will be easy to finally log. I live overseas and the packages don't list anything - so I needed a place to also find the estimate of things. The good news is that I don't get preservatives.
I have lost a total of 60lbs over the last 15 months when I had peaked out at 308. Every step is a baby step. I have a philosophy that it takes at least 21 days to form a new habit. I started very light exercises a week ago - I had to sweat. But hey I have 14 days to make this habit stick. I turn 51 this week and excited that finally I'm growing in my self-disciplines. My biggest weight came on after a hysterectomy so I'm excited that I have about 10 more to go to be back before that surgery.
To those that have gone before - keep leading the way!

    welcome to MFP!
  • Welcome to MFP! I started using it about a month and a half ago and have found it easy to use and useful! I also live overseas but I am lucky that I have been able to find a lot of foods that have nutritional info at the "ex-pat" grocery stores. Also, since MFP has people from all over the world I find that a lot of the foods are already in the database. Good luck on your journey!
