Have searched slimfast on here, but most of the posts seem quite old. Just wondered if anyone else is doing the slimlfast diet?
Been doing it for about 2 weeks, and I've found it ok, started to get cravings to eat something more, but I think it's because I'm stuck at home with the crappy weather lol.
Also looking for any buddies to help motivated to be motivated

On my first diet I lost over 80 lbs in 12 to 18 months. So the Slimfast Diet does work!! And I have kept most of it off for 6 yrs. I have gained about 20 lbs back but only because I didn't stick with the plan. I started trying other methods to no avail. My only problem now is the recipes on the website are for familys. I did better when it was one servings. If you stick to the plan, you will slowly lose cravings. It does take determination and willpower but it will work. And also exercise.0

I was doing slimfast for awhile. Shake for breakfast then a normal lunch and normal dinner. a couple of slimfast snack bars during the day. But I found that I was just waaaaay too hungry by lunch and would often binge. so now i have a fiber one granola bar (90cal) for breakfast and just watch my calories all day. i'm doing much better without slimfast LOL0

Ok, thanks for the replies.
Looks like there's some positive and negative reviews about it, I can understand about wanting to eat more than you're supposed to, I'm doing ok so far, and I'm going to give it a proper shot to see if I can be one of the successful ones, mainly as in my last year of uni, what I eat is generally the only thing I can control as I don't have time for masses of exercise.
So thanks for the info, lets see how this goes0 -
I did slimfast and mainly found it too monotonous for me to stick to. I use it now as one of many choices for a low calorie snack or meal. It is basically calories in/calories out, so as long as you stay under you will lose weight. Some great extras for the day: Dannon Light & Fit yogurt (only 80 calories and filling believe it or not), Smartpop 100-calorie bags (a lot of popcorn once popped, I add some white cheddar popcorn seasoning or spray with some spray butter), pop chips 100-calorie bags and Zone Perfect bars (great meal replacement, filling and tasty if you get some good flavors).
For me variety is the spice of life and between exercise and treating myself now and then, I'm finding dieting this time around using MFP is easier than before.
Good luck!0
