I was just looking over my nutritional info for a meal and I noticed that in the Fiber column I have a -1 for that entry? How can a food have -1 fiber?! Just curious! Thanks!

I have been wondering the same thing....I'm almost always in the negatives in fiber and protein...

It means you have eaten 1 more gram than your goal, not that you have negative fiber.
  • I am fairly new here, but I believe that means you ate over what MFP recommended that you eat. I think that's good for fiber and protein!!

That number is how many you have left to reach your daily target. If it's negative, it means you went over by that amount. So I would call a negative in that column a good thing.

It's not negative for the day. It was just negative for the one entry. For the day my goal is 17, when I got the -1 for the entry, It took my total goal for the day to 18. Much like it does for calories after you input exercising.

The negative at the BOTTOM means you went over the fiber goal and unless you went WAY too high it will be great. :)

For one item it could just be someone input the info wrong.

Could it be that it was put in wrong in the data base?

I'm thinking that's what it is. Thanks! Just wanted to make sure that something wasn't happening that I had no clue about!! :)
