Does anyone here ride horses? I just rode for about 90 minutes and I was wondering how to enter that into my exercise diary. Like what it is the difference between Horseback Riding and Horseback Riding general?

Thanks

depends on what you did or how you rode.
I ride. If i walk/trot I dont count it for much... If I canter and jump fences for at least 30... if I am sweating and my horse is sweating, then I count it...

Its all in how you ride...
If you post consistently and push your pony forward with you legs and you are out there for a while, then you can count it...

Ditto. Depends on what you are doing and what riding level. I never count trail riding, but normally count arena work if I am training or schooling. It really depends on what your "riding' fitness level is. I can get my students tired after 30 minutes of a really intense lesson. If you are doing ring work and need an extra boost to work legs and get moving try this at a w/t/c. Two point, extended gait on the straight, collected through the turns. Drop your stirrups and tighten your leg at calf and ankle and squeeze for a three count and hold. Killer leg workout, I still do it just for the leg workout.
