This is what I like to do quite a bit. You can pick "(Name of Band)" radio, and it will pick songs from that band and similar bands, you can do recommended radio (based on what you listen to), etc. Great for adding new songs/bands to your repertoire. I also really like Slacker for selecting multiple bands or songs to add to a playlist - then you can set a slider to play mostly hits, or pick less heard tracks mixed in with occasional hits.
I also use my iPod, but love the two internet radio streams for finding new stuff, and mixing it up a bit.0 -
try some six feet under or mortician lol0

Go to Pandora.com or download the app, select Waka Flocka Flame and Avenged Sevenfold and select quickmix... nothing but up tempo beats that keep me going.... it's weird because I listen to country all day and when I'm in the car.. but get me in the gym or running and it's got to be rap or rock lol!!!0

It depends on where (and when) I'm at when I start my workout:
Flashbacked in the '60's - Lazy by Deep Purple (One old skool, seriously Kick Tush workout tune!)
Stuck in the 70's - I Will Survive (WarriorGranny's Power Song) by Gloria Gaynor (Ah, the Disco Days)
Aching for the 80's - I Hate Myself for Loving You by Joan Jett & The Runaways (This IS the best chick-rock song EVER!)
Noddin' in the 90's - Get Over It by The Eagles (For those whiney moments)
Zenning in the 00's - Get This Pary Started by P!nk (When I'm feeling my age and don't want to)
Tappin' in the 10's - Thunderstruck by AC/DC from Iron Man 2 (A great flashback and tribute to Warrior Son's 3 tours in Iraq!)0 -

I just answered the same question on another thread. Okay, it's guys music, but anyhow fantastic for running: **** Dale (surf guitar, any album) and Messer Chups (Crazy Price and Hyena Safari). Much of Rammstein's work is also pretty hot for a run, but again, perhaps more for the boys.
For the girls? Dunno. Neneh Cherry?0 -
I listen to dance music in the gym..or sometimes I listen to an audiobook. Also in our cardio room at the gym..they have special hook ups on the machines where you can listen to 4 different TVs in the room....0
