Red Pepper Flakes - calories?

I have seen some contradicting calorie counts for dried Red Pepper Flakes. Some say 0cal and some say 5cal per TSP. I use a lot on my pasta. I love it spicy, so on occasion I will use 4 TBSP in my pasta dish. At 5cal per tsp that would amount to about 60cal. That does not sound right for Red Pepper Flakes. If its 0cal then not to worry, but if it is 60 I think that is noteworthy to count in my daily totals.
Anyone have any insight to this food.
Thanks

Maybe the difference was the brand? Perhaps they did something during the processing to the one with the cals? I don't think there is much if any cals in it. and if there are wouldnt they be 'negitive' cals? As it takes more energy for your body to use it than the energy it produces. Beccause of the capsezin it boosts your metabolism. Just my thoughts.0

5/6 per tsp seems about right.
You need to buy some hotter chilli - try naga jalokia0 -
I tend to be heavy handed with the red pepper flakes too. I don't count them as calories. At most, I'd be eating 5 calories in a day and I tend to be conservative with my calorie counting (logging on the side of more calories when it comes to estimating sizes). I give all spices a free pass.0
