Delicious Breakfast (or dessert!) Recipe

This morning, I ran out of my go-to breakfast item, Cream of Wheat, so I improvised with a banana, some peanut butter, and a tortilla wrap. I created the Banana Nut Butter Wrap!

Ingredients:
- low calorie tortilla wrap (La Tortilla Factory makes great whole wheat ones; 80 calories for a large wrap)
- medium sized banana
- 1 tablespoon of preferred nut butter (I used Skippy reduced fat creamy peanut butter)
- choice of sweetener (I used one Splenda packet, but one teaspoon of honey or agave is good too)
- a dash or two of cinnamon

Instructions:
- Heat the tortilla wrap so that it's pliable and easy to work with. You can either lay it flat on a plate and heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds, or put it on a flat pan and heat it on the stove for a two to three minutes
- Once the wrap is heated, measure out one tablespoon of your nut butter and spread it in the center of the wrap
- Take the banana and cut it into small slices; Place slices on top of nut butter
- Sprinkle sweetener over the banana, and add cinnamon
- Roll up the wrap and heat it once more in the microwave for 30 seconds or on the stove in a covered pan for a few minutes
- Enjoy!

Approximate calorie count (depending on your choice of ingredients): 275 - 330

That sounds so good. Kinda like a crepe. I'll have to try it with Nutella.
  • It was delicious and filling, which is a great way to start the morning. I hope you enjoy!
