I am trying to understand math problem on my food diary: It says that I have 430 cal left for today. Than it says that I have 10- for carbs, 17- for fat and 45 for protein. If you add 10+17+45=72. What am I supposed to eat in the 430-72=358 cal. ???:noway:

I've never been good at math, but if you're worried about not having enough cals, proteins, etc., then eat a Lean Cuisine, they don't have much in them.

The breakdown numbers of fat protein and carbs are grams, not calories.

for every gram of protein or carbs you eat it has 4 calories, for every gram of fat you eat you get 9 calories, and for every gram of alcohol you eat you get 7 calories...add 10*4 (40), 17*9 (153) and 45*4(180)=373

It make sence, if it gramms, but even than it doesn't add up.:noway:

    10 g carbs * 4 calories/g = 40 calories
    17 g fat * 9 calories/g = 153 calories
    45 g protein * 4 calories/g = 180 calories

    40 + 153 + 180 = 373 calories

Which is correct as MFP doesn't show you the fractions, but still takes them into account. Nothing is wrong with the site
My advice would be to eat some chicken.
