any cosmetologists?

I'm thinking about going into the field and was just wondering what you think about your job. What's the best/worst parts?

    I am not a cosmetologists but I have quite a few friends who are and they love it because its a passion of theirs. I say, if its a passion of yours go for it!

    Back pain, feet pain, wrist pain, potential customers with lice, some great tips, some not so great tips. I went through 2 1/2 yrs of cosmetology school and while I keep my license up "just in case" I don't do anything with it because after working in a salon I discovered I just didn't LOVE IT ENOUGH or have that much passion for it like I thought I would. It is a huge financial investment so I would be absolutely positive standing on your feet for hours and hours a day is worth it. But that is just me. I have other friends who would do nothing else, they love it so much. Good luck whatever you decide!
