P90X Protein recommendations

I purchased my P90X a while ago. I seem to have misplaced the nutrition portion of the package. Can anyone tell me a average amount of protein to be ingesting for the initial phase? I'm currently at a goal of 1400 calories per day (plus exercise calories).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    some info on nutrition plan for p90x here: http://www.ehow.com/way_5333833_nutrition-guide-px-workout-system.html. You're going to need some kind of protein shake, it's the only way to get close to the amount of protein you'll need to hit 50% of your calories from protein during the first month. Lots of cottage cheese, greek yogurt, eggs, nuts, etc.

    I was a bit skeptical of the whole high protein diet thing until I tried it. If you're building muscle while you're losing weight (like with P90X), it's really effective. Once you find yourself bonking during your workouts, it's time to get more carbs in (or make sure you're eating your calories!).
