So I decided to experiment yesterday. Since I wouldn't be hitting the gym, I figured I'd just give up meat for the day as well. I stayed under my caloric goal for the day, but this morning it showed I had lost a pound. Is that even possible?

Yes, it's possible that you lost a pound in one day, but most likely it wasn't from going meatless (at least not entirely).

When you eat primarily vegetables, beans, fruits (whatever else is considered as "meatless") you most likely will experience some loss of water weight, like with a detox.

    I hope I helped!

I agree...it was probably more water loss, but still a loss...it just all depends on if that's how you want to lose the weight...and is that just a short term or long term goal...but some times, I just like to see the scale go DOWN! It just boost my EGO...and every now and again I need that to keep going! :glasses:

It'll be mainly on off days from the gym.

on your off days from the gym is when you grow (muscles) so I still think it's important to get your protein in (doesn't have to be meat) but something to be aware of :)

I'm usually over on protein every day.. Except yesterday. I think I was about 30 grams under.. I'm thinking maybe throwing a shake in there might help.
