Just wanted to share this dinner idea

Costco - Frozen Wild Alaskan Salmon Burgers, 1 burger 170 1 1 20 0 330
Uncle Ben's Rice - 100% Whole Grain Brown Rice, 1 cup 170 36 0 4 0 20
Broccoli - Cooked, boiled, drained, without salt, 0.5 cup, chopped 27 6 0 2 1 32

Total: calories 367, carbs 43, Saturated Fat 1 , Protein 26, sugar 1, sodium 382

I cooked the Salmon burger (these are sold in BJ's and Costco) in a pan without added fats, boiled the rice and added very little seasoning, steamed the veggies-- took me about 15 minutes start to finish, and voila I had the perfect balance of equal amounts of proteins, whole grains and veggies. Now I have room for some sugar free dessert ;)

They are pre-made and ready to be cooked. I'm sure grilled would be delicious as well. Since they cook so fast, they are perfect for these days that you have very little time.

The other day I had one in a whole grain bun....total of about 10 minutes to prepare!!! You can't even order fast food that fast!!!

So what's a good sugar-free dessert to go with that?!

    Zabitha,

Tonight I had a sugar free popsicle, however I also like to "snack" on sugar free/fat free cool whip :)) or a sugar free strawberry jelly, and just a side note there is a new sugar free Brownie and cake mix box in the baking section as well....however keep the calories in mind :)

If all fails, just eat some fruit, at least sugars that you will consume through fruit are natural and not refined.
