Don't grocery shop hungry

New to this!! Disappointed by dieting ..so i am trying to change my behavior and make better health decisions. I have about as much eating discipline as a 5 year old..so I am learning. So I thought I'd share what I'm learning ..which brings me to Lesson 1...

Don't go to the grocery store, even if its a "healthy" grocery store when you're hungry. You will be disappointed in all the food you decide that you "must have." And if you're anything like me you will find yourself looking at your cart full of delicious carby snacks, find yourself feeling slightly guilty and decide that the logical thing to do is to purchase an inordinate amount of fresh produce to "even things out." You'll never finish all the produce before half of it goes bad and you have to throw it out anyway. So always opt for grocery shopping after having a meal (and a large one at that) and when you get there, hit the produce section first.

Cheers,

But make a list when you are hungry! A list of all the healthy veg based dishes that are only tempting when you need to eat.
