so, i went to bed crazy hungry last night, and i wanted to get up and eat something and cheat, even tho i already completed my log for the day, but instead i lay in bed thinking of all the things i DIDN'T eat..pizza, ice cream, fries, burgers, etc, and after about 3 minutes, i felt myself getting less hungry...i don't know how or why it worked..maybe it was myself thinking i am past (mostly) the unhealthy eating..maybe it was because i thought i was eating those things, and it helped me with my hunger pangs..who knows, but it was effective, and was able to get right to sleep without my hunger keeping me awake just thought i would share everyone have a wonderful night !!

I'm a bored eater too.
put food in front of me or put me around it and I eat it.
out of sight out of mind.
what I usually tell myself is that if I'm still want whatever I wanted the night before, I can have it for breakfast.
Breaktfast comes and goes and I don't even think about what I was thining about eating the night before I go to bed.
go figure.

next time try drinking some water too ) sometimes our bodies are telling us we're hungry when we're dehydrated.0

I went ot bed feeling like I hadn't eaten all day. I passed it off as habit (I'm a night time snacker), and hoped the hunger pains would pass. I woke up 3 times due to hunger pains, and finally got up and had a bowl of oatmeal. Now I'm wondering if it's better to go to bed hungry, or to eat a healthy bedtime snack. I'm just not sure if it's habit for my body, or my body telling me I need it??0

I don't know why it works, either, but I sometimes visit websites for restaurants I'd like to go to someday. LIke Per Se in NYC, or The French Laundry, or Babbo. I read the menu and imagine eating everything on the tasting menu, if they have one, or select the most delicious items for my own grand tasting. It's satisfying in an odd way. I'm not quaffing the French, Italian, or California wine pairings or eating some exotic dish from the kitchen of a culinary master, but I feel like I am. When I'm done, I've had a zero-calorie treat that satisfies me and inspires me to make something new in my own kitchen with whole foods and healthy choices (and about 1% of the butter content that a restaurant meal has).

If hunger wakes you up then you probably were genuinely hungry. I wont go to bed hungry because I cannot eat in the morning until i've been up 2-3 hours. I am guaranteed to see it again if I do eat so if i'm hungry before bed I have 2 wheat crispbreads with a laughing cow wedge. Takes the edge off the hunger and means I wont be ravenous in the morning forcing me to eat and then spending the next hour talking to Huey on the porcelain phone!0 -
I've been having dreams of hamburgers for the past week.......I even dreamed I rented an apartment that delivered bags of hamburgers to your door for $4.00. Why hamburgers? I don't know....I haven't even been craving them. But in my dreams I never get to eat them either!0
