If you don't do anything else. Remove the refined sugars and refined starches out of your diet. I have gone about 50% raw since Jan1st 2011 and have found replacements for sugars and starches. I use all natural sweeteners made from the stevia plant. Now baked potatoes aren't bad even with butter. I found out that 90% of the wheat and corn is genetically modified and causes celiac disease. Those foods have been genetically combined with the same toxic chemicals they are sprayed with. Our bodies are having made side effects from this DNA splicing. I now buy products from the Gluten free section. So I can still make pasta or even pancakes, but its rice noodles or gluten free pancakes...etc.

GMO (Genetically Modified Foods) are a really bad deal.

Was it the documentary "King Corn" or "Food Inc" that first scared us? Both are excellent and a must-watch for anyone concerned about this.

    On Netflix streaming.

If you are not aware, rice is going to be soon a GMO farmed grain also. In the end, we are all going to be better off by fore going grains all together and purchasing our vegetables and fruits from local and sustainable sources that don't use GMO seeds when they plant and grow.............

I agree! (LOVE all those movies add The Gerson Miracle to your netflix list too) I also reccommend the book "Anti Cancer a new way of life by David Servan-schreiber, MD, PhD" It disscusses in great length that eliminating processed sugars, processed fats (the partially hydrogenated, etc) will enable your body to fight off cancer, if not prevent it. Find it soon as it is in the "bargin priced books" at borders. So I don't know how long it will be in active print.
