Hi all (: I joined this site last week with my roommate; I can't seem to get the hang of eating LESS (because hey, let's face it, we're used to pigging out -- If we weren't, we wouldn't be here!!). As a result, we've been pedaling our stationary butts off to the tune of 600 - 1200 calories to compensate. My legs feel like noodles but I'm optimistic, we've stuck to our guns and I lost a little under 2 pounds last week. I LOVE how easy the site is to navigate and I'm looking forward to fighting flab with all of you...

Welcome! Don't get discouraged, it took me about a week to get the hang of not eating as many calories. The real results start showing after about a month. It takes that long for something to become routine. You'll get the hang of it!0

I hear ya... food is just yummy, darn it! Keep at it. As you go, you'll start to notice the "full" sensation sooner and more easily. Try eating the low carb foods first, then your carb foods. It hits the lower intestines and sends a full signal where the sugar/starch stuff hits immediately in the blood stream and skips the full signal. Ok, that was TMI... have fun!0

Welcome.. The first week is the hardest. You feel so hungry. But once you make it past that point it gets easier.0

Hi! i started with myfitnesspal 5 days ago. I have since changed my weight loss goal to 2lbs a week instead of 1lb. I don't know how that is going to effect my weight loss this week but i guess this week doesn't really count. Only reason I say that is my first weigh in was on an in accurate scale and I have since bought a new scale and am now using that one. So if there is any progress I will not see in yet.
I have the app on my iPod which makes it super easy to track my calories and exercise. Any tips on a new recruit?0
