Hoping to be able to have the discipline it takes to lose some weight. I have paralyzed feet which makes most aerobic exercises impossible. Also have to be on oxygen 24/7.....with that I will do my best!

Hello there!
You don't NEED to exercise to lose weight as much as you NEED to keep track of the calories and fat and so forth of what you take in. Exercise simply makes you lose weight faster IF you make changes in your diet. Your eating habits are where it all starts and ends. You may be sweating your butt off at the gym thinking you've lost 5lbs from your little 20 minute run but the reality is that you probably didn't even lose 1lb! No matter what you do just stay focused on your eating habits and be patient. If you have an eating disorder/addiction you have to understand that you need to change your relationship with food and it's NOT going to be easy.... But you won't be alone with your struggles here at mfp.
Stick around, you'll be glad you did.0
