Hi guys,

Okay MFP has recommended i eat 1290 cals and i am sticking to it religiously but im eating quite small meals during the day (porridge and soup- my usual just healthier portion sizes and varieties) and then a bigger meal for dinner.

hit a plateau and not lost anything for 3 weeks, i have now started drinking much more water and spreading my cals out so instead of 3 meals i have 3 meals and 2/3 snacks comming to the same total of cals. do you think this will help??

oh exersizing 3 times a week as well!

Thanks,

Try reversing your plan, big breakfast followed by smaller meals. Also try upping your calories to 1,400 (I've found it's a magic # with a lot of ppl).
  • I had a plateau for a few weeks. What helped me was a calorie increase.

Okay, you changed your eating routine, try changing or varying your exercise routine also - we need to keep our bodies guessing, they are very clever at adjusting to our lifestyle and making the most efficient use of the food we eat - I introduced a bit of jogging as well as walking, and started playing squash (racquetball) again too. My last plateau at about 14lbs, I switched to low-carbs for 3 days...

Exercise 3 times a week, is pretty low. But that is my thoughts.

Umm, how is your sodium intake? You drinkin' enough water? Are you eatin' alot of carbs after lunch? How is your protein intake? I only ask these cause your diary is not public.

Maybe up your workout plan...get more cardio in and strength trainin'...try to eat different foods...Anythin' from the produce section is great...
