Hey all...I just joined today, and I love it. I am getting married next September, and I am trying to lose some weight for my honey for our honeymoon. I have gained about 20 pounds since we met and I would like to get my weight much closer to that before the big day! Right now I am at 145-155lbs. and I would like to get it down to at least 135, but I would love to get it back to my original weight of 120. I'll do my best. I want to have fun with this!!!

Thats the goal I am shooting for, my old weight of 120. I'm pretty much exactly in your position. Let me know if you have any tips haha. Actually, I've lost 2 pounds doing this already. If only losing weight was as easy as the gaining it was!
  • Oh me too! My ultimate goal is 110lbs, but I would be happy with 115. I was nearly there, but met my partner nearly two years ago, and he likes to cook and I was happy!! LOL. I am 136 now, and cant believe how difficult it is to lose weight after 30 (i am 33). I lost all my baby weight after my first child (she's 9 now) without even doing any exercise!! (*sigh*). So now its 3 times a week at the gym, and counting calories. I do get frustrated at the slow process, and I do get scared of putting on weight from developing muscle, but at least I know that its not from eating too much! If anyone is interested I have the BEST meal for losing weight and feeling full.

I know it's hard guys, but remember, its as much about becomming healthy as it is loosing weight. If you change your lifestyle so that the way you eat and exercise is the norm. for you instead of it being something you struggle with, you will keep the weight off and feel better doing it! I know that is how it is with me, After 2 months of this, I am down 15 lbs (I am a lot bigger then you guys so I can loose weight faster) and now It feels more like what I want to do as opposed to what I have to do. Keep at it, it gets easier, once that happens, it becomes a habit, the BEST habit in the world!

I joined this site just last week and already feel so much better! I started at 183 lbs at the beginning of last week, weighed in on Friday at 178.5 lbs, and weighed myself last night at 176 lbs=a total of 7 lbs in a week! This is very exciting! But, not only am I seing the scale move in a good direction, I feel more energized and all-over happier! It's true that eating healthy makes your whole body feel good. So, that's a little encouragement for you--you don't have much you want to lose so if you have the motivation, it shouldn't be too hard! Good luck to you, and congrats on your upcoming wedding!!

**I am also interested in the BEST meal for losing weight and feeling full!!!!
  • Yay! It's nice to see so many people in the same boat as I am. It's really encouraging!
PS- I'm interested in that meal too!!
