I was just wondering if others have this same problem. It seems that when i take my measurements i get different number allt he time. I remeasure about 4 or 5 times. I am not exactly sure where to take them too. I mean your waiste? Is it around your belly button or the larger gut for most of us women with children? Also your thighs? Is it in the middle of your leg or the largest part of your thigh? Please help? I have no idea what i am doing!

I found this on a website. It just gives you a general idea of where to measure. It seems like the meatiest parts is what they're aiming for as that is more than likely what you will lose in weight loss. Hope this helps a little bit.
FOR WOMEN:
CHEST: Women measure under the armpits across upper portion of chest, tape level.
THIGH: Maximum girth just below the curve of the buttocks, legs spread 2' apart, tape level. (Maximum girth" means area where feature is largest in circumference.)
HIPS/BUTTOCKS: Maximum girth, feet together, tape level.*
BICEP: Maximum girth, midway between shoulder and elbow.*
WAIST: Minimum girth at natural contour just below bottom rib, tape level.
FOREARM: Palm up, maximum girth.*
CALF: Maximum girth, tape level.*
ABDOMEN: Maximum girth, ½" above navel, tape level.*
WRIST: Maximum girth.0 -

Hey Lietee - I don't know the correct answer, but I will share what I do.
For my waist I measure the smallest section around. Then I have one I call "hips" which in my world is the "largest part around" (the gut) LOL For my arms, I measure a finger (long way) down from the top of my shoulder (put my knuckle on the top of my shoulder and then measure at my finger tip.
The bottomline line is that it really doesn't matter so much where you measure, as long as you measure in the same place. So pick a place that easy to repeat
Measuring is awesome, I used to be really lazy about it. But when my weight doesn't change for awhile, the only thing that keeps me sane is seeing an improvement in inches!! Inches ROCK, weight is really just a number
Hope this helps!! (Totally love your picture by the way!!)

Here is how I do it and if you can get someone to do it for you.
Bust: right over the nips
Waist: Bend to one side measure right in the crease, that is your natural waist
Hips: make an "L' with your hands with your fingers pointing down and take the from your belly botton around to you hips. measure at your finger tips.
Thigh: drop you hands straight down to you side measure at fingure tips.
Make sure you are standing the same way everytime ie. feet together or apart, and don't suck it.
Hope this helps if you have any questions just ask.
and I know its embarrising but if you can have someone else measure for you it will be better.0
