I notice that as I loose weight the areas that are reducing the amount of fat like my back and under the arm pit area make my stomach look bigger. As my waist gets smaller, the spare tire looks bigger. Losing in my thighs makes my legs look very skinny, but is not doing anything for my rear end. Stick with it and it will all even out.
Women tend to lose in their stomach last, so I try to do situps (yuck) or ab exercises at the gym, but I still lose there last... Men are lucky, they lose weight faster and they seem to lose the gut faster too...0 -
I HEAR YA SISTA! I've taken pics of my tummy and 10lbs later, looks the exact same! I do the sit ups, but nothing! Everyone claims it's the last thing to go...we'll see!!!!0

LOL personally, I can't stand mirrors, hate to look, but love it when I try on smaller clothes and they fit! Nothing is a better high than that!
Someone once asked me if I ever remember a time when I didn't think I had more weight to lose? Of course my answer was no, even though I have been boney thin for periods of my life, I always know I have more to lose.
One of my friends is constantly in the gym and probably has about 15% body fat, maybe less, and I used to tell her how great she looks because she was always complaining about one body part or another and her answer was always "you don't see me naked" . . . what is it with us? Hahaha....0 -
i've lost 14 pounds and the only thing i can notice is that my sandal/slide shoes are a little looser:laugh: . just keep at it, i know eventually i will see it!!0

I have the same problem. I have lost weight and have down a size, and could probly go down another size in pants except I still have to get the larger size because of UGH belly fat:mad:
I posted that and most said continue with cardio workouts and pull belly in when exercising. Sounds like good advice and will continue to give it a shot!!!0 -
When a person starts to gain weight, they don't even know it. That is why it's such an enemy.
IN the human body, there's something called the greater and lesser omentum. These are the membranes in your peritoneal cavity that hold your intestines and other organs under the heart in place, where they belong. Unfortunately, this is the first place fat starts to collect. That's why your forearms and calfs can look so much more slender than your gut and haunches. From there, as you gain weight, the areas that collect more weight, in progress, are the lower buns, thighs and chest area. The last places on your body to gain weight are forearms, hands, calves, feet, neck and face.
So it makes sense, that when you begin to lose that weight, the opposite occurs: you lose first in your face, neck, hands, feet, calves, etc. That does not mean that your core isn't losing, it's just not losing as fast as the areas that gain weight last, and lose weight first. As you drop pounds, that core (the omentum) is going to be the last area that will finally give up weight.
Relax and enjoy the process. Eventually you will start to see the results of your work. IN the meanwhile, the other posters are right -- keep doing ab work. By the time you have dropped those pounds, underneath all the weight you are going to lose is going to be a rip-roaring set of abs you didn't even know you had.0 -
Are you bloated? Not just from the monthly thing but have you been having a lot of food items packed with fiber that might have bloated your belly with gas? Just wondering.
Other than that idea I don't know that to tell you except that people lose weight differently. Take me for example... my upper body (including belly) is the first place I lose weight. BUT fat hangs on like GLUE to my lower body!!! :grumble:
Hope you get to see a difference soon! Good luck! :flowerforyou:  :drinker:0
