counting all exercise

Right here goes I'm a busy bee most days , and some of the walking i do is what i would have done before i started dieting and my work is exercise that i do every day do i count the Cal's that I'm burning why i do this or do i class it as something that my body's use to and not make a allowance for the Cal's burnt during these periods .

    I think when you set up your profile you stated this in the beginning MFP aready makes allowances for that. I do count extra work I do like Hand Washing my Jeep cuz I don't do that hardly EVER and its a huge task, but if its something I do everyday I don't count it.
  • The way I do it when I calculate my fiance's exercise is I have his daily activity be totally sedentary and when he goes to work and does say 6 hours of automobile repair I add that in as exercise. This way over the weekend he isn't reporting more exercise than he is doing as well. Keep in mind though that if you've recorded that you have an active job then it will already take that into effect. As I understand it the only way to accurately calculate it if you want to add all the exercise you do would be to report that you are completely sedentary and then you can add any exercise that you do that day.

    That is the activity level you choose. You could probably choose 'lightly active'. I have a desk job and even though I walk here and there I chose sedentary.
