Help! My dog won't stop barking!

I have schnauzers, and they love to bark at everything that moves. Cars, people, dogs, leaves, each other, etc. Our dog trainer told us to carry a spray bottle of water. When they bark, I say "No" in a firm voice. If they bark again, they get a warning shot across the bow (I spray the water in front of them). Third bark, they get a spray (but not in the eyes or nose!). Now they will stop barking if I just shake any bottle of liquid.
