Weight lifting success

Okay, I don't have any pics or enormous weight loss numbers to post.
However, I am beginning to increase the amount of weights I am lifting and it feels so good! (Les Mills BodyPump)
I was always kind of afraid to do it because (a) I didn't think I could do it and (b) I didn't want to make a fool of myself in front of the entire class.
But my instructor challenged me on Wednesday to increase my chest and tricep weights (by 4kg) and I did it and was successful!
Today I increased for squats and back (by 5kg). It was a challenge and I was a little leary at first but I did it and I feel great!!
Tomorrow I may not feel so "great":noway: but I'll take a two day break and be back at it on Monday with a new confidence.
Woo Hoo!!
Thanks for letting me share

I prefer strength training to any other exercise. For me it is more exciting and more rewarding, espcially when I am successful when I increase reps and weight. It may not burn as many calories as the other cardio exercises, but after 15 minutes of the elliptical trainer, I would rather my eyes poked out!
Good job on your NSV! It is awesome! You will definitely see results over time even if you stay with the same weight. Remember high weight/low reps will produce somewhat different results from low weight/high reps. Go with a program that works for you.0
