If you are looking for exercises that promote long lean muscles and reduce stress, consider yoga and pilates. Both exercises are used often by dancers (particularly ballet) where a strong core and flexible muscles are necessary. And, since these exercises require mindful movements, you actually channel your thoughts while doing them. Give 'em a try.
