Has anyone experienced a period of depression right after a race? I just ran a half marathon this weekend and beat my previous PR on a harder course I was so surprised about this and so happy on Sunday. Then during the week I proceeded to get more and more depressed. I attribute this to not working out daily like I was in previous weeks during training and the emotional roller coaster of a half marathon. I just posted a blog about this (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/AggieCass09), but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I haven't had a depression episode since last summer, which I think has a lot to do with my then-newly acquired healthy lifestyle. I am fully recovered from the race and will definitely go for a run after work so that I can feel like normal-me, not sad-depression-cloud-me again.
