After all these years I finally believe my trainer and the doctors.....at the beginning of January I had my glucose levels, thyroid and cholesterol checked. Glucose was WAY out of whack and Cholesterol was at a dangerous level. After almost two months of logging everything and watching my diet, along with almost daily exercise I had my cholesterol checked last night....i was in total disbelief that my cholesterol dropped over 70 points!
I asked the RN if that was possible and she asked what I had changed over the last 6 or 7 weeks...mentioned MFP and the visits to the gym (weights and cardio) and she said that it was ENTIRELY possible!! That made my entire week....
I can't wait to visit the doctor on March 8th, get my blood drawn and wait for the results that will follow (and believe me, for me to say I can't wait to have my blood drawn is a MAJOR thing, since I am deathly afraid of needles)....this time I won't be on pins and needles awaiting the results.
And hopefully all of this means I will no longer have to worry about going on meds for cholesterol OR giving myself insulin shots EVER (my greatest fear of my life).
MFP...I LOVE YOU!!
