Hi! I'm Amber and I'm deeply in love with MFP! I've been on the website for about a month and a half and have lost 15 lbs (and hopefully counting)!

I'm a (almost) 32 year old mama (2 wonderful little boys) who happens to have (shock!) an internal defibrillator. (No pun intended.) I've had this since 2002 and nearly this entire time I've used it as my excuse to not exercise. FEAR! Of course I've had several complications along the way, but that's a whole other story and excuse of its own. So....basically no exercise for this girl, which would be ok, but since I am a current recovering Coca Cola and Pasta addict=not good. So as the years have gone on I've gotten fatter and fatter. Ick.

So brings us to now. A co-worker mentioned MFP after New Years. So I signed up and decided to give it a shot. HOLY COW! Did you have any idea of how fast calories add up!!! Who knew that the little things I was shoving in my mouth here and there was really causing me to put on the pounds!!?!

MFP has really opened my eyes and helped me to make smarter decisions and plan ahead with my food. Not everything I see gets shoved in my mouth! And, (God bless all you healthy eaters out there) but somedays a girl has to have Dominoes and a cherry poptart. MFP lets me do that! I just have to make smart decisions for the rest of the day.

So...if anybody asks me (nobody has, but hoping someday somebody will) how I lost all my weight, I will be one of those super annoying people that says "Oh, nothing special, just diet and exercise". Even I want to hit myself when I say that.

Speaking of exercise, that brings me to my second love, Leslie Sansone. Love her! You just gotta move to the beat! No dance routines! Recall up above, I'm a mommy of 2 and at any point in my workout, one boy is going to hit the other boy or one boys is going to have to go potty. As long as I keep moving, Leslie assures me I'm going to get in great shape! And I have! Seriously, with my heart condition being what it is, I feel safe doing her workout. She's going to get me sweating and out of breath, but I don't feel like I'm going to get shocked. Which for me is a good thing. Been there, done that, dont want anymore, thanks.

So if there's any other fellow weight losers out there with defibs, I'd love to hear from you and hear what you do for exercise. I'll probably be walking, or putting boys in time out. :)

Hi! I am also an almost 32 year-old mama of 1 little boy. I am completely addicted to this site. I have only just started, but after trying all the other sites, this one just takes the cake. And bonus, it's free. I love the part of your logged food diary that says if you continue to do this, you will be x pounds in 5 weeks. I find that so motivating! It's also great to see if I am meeting, exceeding, or not quite meeting my nutritional goals.

Great job on the weight loss and exercise!
