Do any of you guys ever find yourself eating the same snacks all the time? I am pretty good at mixing up my meals but my snack always tend to be the same. I am also looking for portable snacks that aren't carbs. i noticed that all the snacks I have are either bars, or 100 calorie packs, or granola, cereal, that type of thing I do eat some fruit too.

Hmmm that's a tough one! It does seem that carbs are in A LOT of snacks out there.
Cut up veggies with either a low fat dip or hummus are a good option
I LOVE sliced cucumber, peppers, celery and broccoli. YUM!
Hard-Boiled Eggs (If you like them!)
Nuts (I love almonds and cashews)
Beef or turkey jerky
Cheese sticks ( I eat the light string cheese from Trader Joes)
Sugar-Free Jello
Those portable tuna salad cans are pretty good and they have light ones out.
Also, if you eat things with higher fiber it subtracts the carbs....and balances it out better.0 -
I do tend to go with snacks that are full of carbs but it works out because my meals tend to be low on carbs. Think- salad with chicken, veggies etc. I also tend to snack a lot of yogurt, which isn't awful carb wise. Cottage cheese makes a yummy snack too, you can add a bit of fruit to it if you like. I sometimes do scrambled eggs for a snack when I need the protein or veggies with a bit of low-cal dip. mmm making myself hungry!0

I like wedges of laughing cow cheese or string cheese. They "keep" in a bag for several hours (longer if you have a cooler). I also portion out nuts or veggies in baggies so I can grab a little packet if I'm headed out somewhere.0
