LOL...I posted this last night in the Chit Chat section....It went south real fast. Good luck and may no one lash out in anger! But...I completely agree with it being a peeve.

Hey, why limit self improvement to weight loss and toning! We can also improve our spelling as a side effect! I wonder why multi-tasking elicits so much anger?
  • Yeah, I used to wonder what an "alot" is. Then I googled it; now I know: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/04/alot-is-better-than-you-at-everything.html

    Brilliant! I love that one.

As for offense, I would hope no one would get bent out of shape about a thread that doesn't single anyone out and is in support of better grammar for all.

For those that have taken offense, I apologize and wish you alot of luck. That, of course, would be a pale green alot wearing a shamrock necklace. I think if you catch one and rub its nose, you get three wishes.

Love it! I could really use alot of luck right now! Thanks.

i can't believe no one has brought up your vs you're... clearly the most offensive (and prolific!) grammatical nuisance the internet has ever seen

I am terrible for that and i know the difference. If i think as i type i type the correct one but if i just type without thinking, and i do that a lot, then i type the wrong one.

does that make me sick / wierd?

i can't see my screen properly

I hate poor spelling and grammar, but i am guilty of not using punctuation and no capitals
