I am new to the site....I am 33 years old. I have 3 beautiful children and an awesome husband. I started this site because I am a healthy person, but I never counted calories and as I get older weight is harder to come off and stay off. I am educating myself and having a lot of fun on here! This winter I had fun hibernating with the hubby and drinking yummy wine....:happy: so with Spring hopefully coming soon I'd like to lose 10 pounds.

    welcome- it is very smart to take off the little pounds we gain before they become a bigger porblem - when I get to my gaol weight I will only allow a 5 pound weight gain and then i will be doing something to change it. - ignoring it got me 100 pounds over weight over my adult life time - but have taken off 51 pounds since september so only 39 to go to get to 140

  • Hi, You've got the right idea. Somehow alot of the foods we eat have way more calories than we imagine. I looked up a wedge salad the other day and it was 800 calories!!! How can that be? It's a wedge of iceberg lettuce with some tomatoes, bacon and blue cheese dressing!!! If you start looking at calories in the food I'm sure you'll be surprised. Better to start now than wait until it's a bigger problem! Enjoy the website, it's great, tons of tools and great members, take advantage of it. Good luck to you~
