Silly song lyrics

Sometimes I change the lyrics to songs to suit my current situation, just for fun. Like today, I was cleaning the house and Nine Inch Nails' song "Closer" came on my MP3 player. Through the chorus, I was singing, "I wanna VACuum like an animal!"

Does anybody else do this, or is it just me? :blushing:

I dont change the lyrics because of my situation but because I am totally lost at some of the lyrics and just ramble on :) Then when I learn the actual words, I find my version is so much more fun...heheh

My husband does that all the time! Pretty funny!
  • LMAO..
I'm listening to music constantly and perpetually. I generally don't replace lyrics that often but I *do* incorporate lyric repsonses to conversations :] Meaning if I'm having a conversation..during it..I can make a playlist that would represent both sides of the convo HAHA.
I should have ADHD tattooed to my forehead lol

My hubby and I do this all the time!!! Once we were driving and it was around Christmas and we had just heard "Do You Hear What I Hear" on the radio so... he busts out

Do you see the Lexus (there was Lexus right in front of us on the road)
    It's White, it's White
    And it has four tires
and it's driving down the road!!!

    It was hilarious!!!

I always switch up the lyrics for songs for the helluvit. It's funny a lot of the times, but it has to be those spontaneous moments when people are around to hear it, otherwise it's just funny to me. Lol.

Heh... my husband and I do that too. And we'll say the line in a normal voice, but to the correct rhythm from the song. It's like pseudo-rapping. Very hard to keep a straight face.
  • I've done this especially when singing to children, for instance we used to have a lot of animals when my youngest son. Mack, was growing up so I would sing "Old Mack Douglas had a farm, eieio, " and hen we would name off the animals that we had.

What about accents? Last night we heard a Macy Gray song in the mall, and I started singing it in a horrible thick German accent. "My vurld crumbells ven yu are not neah!" We were rolling. The kids thought we had gone nuts.
