today, i finally broke down and bought a sportline duo 1010 HRM..i have researched a lot of different brands, and found that most are inaccurate, but have never seen this one..it is a watch and chest strap, but was wondering if anyone has one, and how accurate it is for you..my problem is, is if i open it, i cannot return it to the store (that's their rule >8( )) anyhow, i look forward to the advice..best of luck to everyone :D

I just bought a Polar Ft4 and it is wonderful. Now, it would be insanely inaccurate if I didn't wear the chest strap and that could be what is throwing all these people off.

I am not familiar with the line you bought so I am not 100% sure, but I am enjoying the reading my Polar is giving me. I now don't need to be attached to a machine (i.e. elliptical) to know my cals burned.

a lot of the reviews i read, most people say they are accurate for a short time, then stop functioning properly..i can't return it, and i don't want to have wasted near $75 for something used for a week or 2..

I bought a pink sportline (w/o a chest strap) I wore it a few times and hated it. I had to stop exercising to take my hr with the watch. Also, after 2 1/2 hrs of exercise (2 hrs cardio and 30 mins strength training) it said i burned about 300 calories. which is totally not accurate. i couldn't return it to the store i purchased it at... so i had to deal with sportline directly. I mailed it into them... and waited a little over a month for them to send me a new one ... when I was told it would take about 1 week. Beyond frustrating! Finally I took the new packaged sportline back to the store i purchased it at, and got a polar ft7 instead. And i love it!
