Plus I had my TOM last week!!!! I workout 3 times a week with the shred on level 2 right now. Do I need to do something else?? stay away from the scale. trust the way you feel and watch your bad carbs and high fats, lots of water......... I was 4 lbs heavier last night, but my jeans and pants are all now baggie and I believe it is muscle and the fat going away. no big deal, don't get discouraged. We can do this.....

Take measurements because I know everybody has heard the "Scale Don't Lie" but in reality it does but measurements do not. Take measurements of your bust waist (upper, middle, lower) and your thighs and keep a watch on them because your body can be resistance to change so your weight might not go down easily or even better you can add muscle which a 1lb of muscle takes up lot less space of 1lb of fat does so your measurements will go down even if your weight doesnt. Also my favorite thing to do is to take your body fat % and keep up with that because that does not lie either.
  • Are you just taking your weight or doing measurements, too? Muscle weighs more than fat so if you're gaining muscle that might be one explanation. Also I always go up about a pound right before my monthly "gift" arrives.

Just keep plugging on girl.. Muscle weighs more than fat, listen to your body and pay close attention to how ya feel and how your clothes are fitting you. I was on a plateau for almost a month.. It hit deep within when you know your doing it right and there is no rewards, But my clothes was showing me things, and that's what kept me going... Watch the signs not the numbers on the scale..Good Luck and push on....

Are you eating enough? The same thing happened to me because I wasn't eating enough with all the exercise I was doing. As soon as I started eating enough I lost 2 pounds in 3 days. Also, muscle weighs more that fat. If your pants are fitting looser...you are losing inches. Don't be too concerned about the numbers. I lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks, and then when I thought I would lose more by eating less I actually stopped losing because my body went into starvation mode. When you are in starvation mode your body holds on to everything you put in it. Don't give up. You are eating healthy and exercising now...that is probably more that you were doing before. Just living healthier makes a huge change in the way you feel! Hang in there!
  • Here’s some insight from an essay called, “Why the scale Goes Up When You Start a New Workout:

Not unbiased (there is plenty of subtle selling of her workout DVDs), but offers a solid explanation as to what you should expect. But, .9 pounds is honestly NOTHING. Weight fluctuates by at least that much in a given day, sometimes more.

The same thing has happened to me and I have even gone days and days at the same weight. I think it is just the plateau or the fact that you gained muscle in the process of losing fat (remember muscle is heavier than fat, but it takes up less room). Keep up the great work with your eating and exercise and in no time the scale will reflect your dedication.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I have been needing to take measurements but haven't done it yet (lazy I suppose and no measuring tape) I do not eat my exercise calories because of the fact that I have not been able to figure the amount of calories burned doing the shred and I need a HRM but don't know which one to get and yes money is a huge factor. Could that be enough to throw me off? Am I maybe entering starvation mode!!?? I think it might be a little of both. That I have lost inches and need to figure out how many calories I'm burning so I can eat some of them back to keep me above 1200.
