Hi: Just got back from Costco where I bought something called Texas Caviar made by Pita Pal.

It is a mix of blackeye peas, bell pepper, jicama, corn, onion, parsley, red pepper, cilantro, orange juice, canola oil, spices, sea salt, potasium sorbate and a lot of love (no kidding that is on the list). At 70 cals per half cup and very reasonably priced about $4.99 for a 1.9 lbs container. I decided to give it a try even though it is a bit high on sodium 330 mg per 1/2 cup (14%)

Boy is this stuff good. Very tasty. I ate it straight, but it would be great in a pita pcoket or served as a side dish. If you are looking for something a bit different, this is it.
