Disturbed about no nutritional information

Okay, so I am freaking out right now. We were going to go out to eat, had eaten a very light breakfast and lunch and was going to splurge a little. I have a lot of weight to lose and therefore a lot of calories in a day. We stayed out later shopping than we thought and needed something quick and since we had saved many calories, we stopped at Rally's. Our local one has 69 cent cheeseburgers and hotdogs on sunday's. I grabbed a hamburger and hotdog as I knew I had many calories to fill, over 1,000 and when I got home, I found that it is the ONLY fast food restaurant that REFUSES to provide their ingredients or any kind of nutritional information. Do a google search, if you have ever eaten at a Rally's or a Checkers, you may want to grab a tissue as you may cry like I did. If you are a crier, as I am.
I'm stunned they can get away with this that this is even legal and so completely scared of what I just ate. This is not just about going over in calories as I may have for the first time since I started this.....this is about what the heck did I just eat? If I could vomit I would. (Please do not misunderstand, I have never done that and would never condone it...but what the heck did I injest?)
I guess I am just posting this as a warning and hoping that maybe someone has worked there and can put my mind at rest even the tiniest bit by telling me there are not small furry animals in it or something.

I am with you about wondering what you just ate. I type in the food and see what other places list and then usually go with one on the high end of the calorie count. This may not be 100% accurate but it gives me an idea and I would rather over estimate on something. Also I think people get caught up in how many calories they may go over one day. This is a culimative thing one meal isn't going to ruin all your hard work. Just try to keep on track and go on. My sons birthday was today and I had cake and ice cream, and I enjoyed it very much. Tomorrow i will be back at the gym. I did manage to send all the extra cake away with the guests. So there isn't any left at the house.0

I did just that, took a double cheeseburger instead of a single to be safe and a horribly high hotdog lol. Still scared of what I just put in my mouth though. >.< But I am glad to know that I am not the only one this bothers.0

It bothers me as well. My husband (The picture is not me) bought me a chicken quesadilla meal at Chilli's one night. (How bad could that be right?) After eating half of it I looked it on and it was over 1700 calories and 5000 mg of sodium. I am only to eat 1200 calories and less than 2400 mg of sodium in an entire day. Yes, I cried and wanted to throw it up.
Remember though even if you want to use up your 1000 calories--that hamburger stuff is really high in fat and sodium as well. We all fall down sometime and must get up. I went to a picnic today and ate cake too. Oh well, I will do better tomorrow.:bigsmile:0 -
Lol, I am saving the cake thing for the fourth. Though I plan to try the diet pop cake everyone raves about. And yes, saving up for high fat things is bad, but it is rare that I do it. And it was not the calories that made me want to get rid of it, but the fact that I have no idea if it was even meat and the fact that the company wont tell me, no, refuses to tell ANYONE what is in their food makes me more than a little suspicious.0

 My opinion is the same, that is VERY dirty, and suspicious.
Not to worry, though. It's just as easy as a consumer with buying power to sit down and write them a short, sweet little note telling them that any restaurant that isn't wiling to make public the caloric and nutritional content of the foods they serve is hiding something, and inform them you are dropping them from your diet.
Granted, your money is merely a drop in the bucket to them; they don't care. But those drops turn into gallons after awhile. :grumble:
It's your money, save it for something more deserving next time you get the hungry horrors.
Forgive yourself, take a few extra minutes on the treadmill tomorrow, and move on.0
