Hey guys,

I want to learn more about nutrition and the way our bodies interact with food. Maybe one day down the line, I'd even like to be a personal trainer (the personal trainers i've used in the past have always been such an inspiration to me and having struggled with my weight most of my life, I feel I could inspire others).

I heard about an ebook called brain over brawn (i just started reading it) but are there were any other good nutrition books out there you guys know about?

thanks :)

Nancy Clark is a registered dietitian, and also has a masters in nutrition. She has one called "Sports Nutrition Guidebook" which I bought. It's good. It has a part (with multiple chapters) on "everyday eating for active people", part 2 on "the science of eating for sports success", part 3 on "balancing weight and activity", and part 4 "winning recipes for peak performance."

This book is good for people working out and dieting. Anything by her would be good. She knows her stuff, and actually has credentials (unlike most) to back her up.

    Good luck!

I agree with the Nancy Clark book above. I have it from one of my first nutrition certifications. Another great one I recommend for people who are active is Nutrition for Health, Fitness, and Sport by Melvin Williams. I used it for 2 different college courses and loved it for both.
