I would like to hear from others on how long it took for you to start losing weight? Also, on those days/weeks when you felt like you would never lose weight....what helped you to keep on track?

Well, I'd lost weight before, but gained it all back PLUS 3 lbs. Seeing pictures of myself made me want to start again. I started working on it back in August. I'm struggling to get rid of this last 15 lbs, but I'm smaller than I was the last time around. Sometimes I think about just stopping & staying where I am now, but then I see pictures of the old me & gives me new motivation! I want to lose this last 15 & be more toned. How about you?0

Becuase I started out heavy, 315 pounds, and I drastically changed my eating habits from 2-3 pints of B & J icecream everyday, I started losing weight very quickly. 6 pounds the first weeks, 4-5 the next and several weeks after that. When I hit about 30 pounds lost, I ended up on a plateau for about 3 weeks. As it was very discouraging and I came here a lot for support and help, I just stuck it out and continued to be positive and keep doing what I was doing. Finally, the plateau ended and I started losing again, probally after the intitial weightloss had caught up with me. I still have 110 pounds to go and I know there will be more plateaus but I'm ready for anything as I plan to follow through with everything I've got! That's my story, hope it helps!0

I lost weight my first week. A total of 6 pounds. What keeps me going is I know I don't want to live like this any more. I'm tired of being fat and I know I have the power to change that. You just have to remind yourself why you started this journey and see it through to the end.0

i actually started losing right away. i only weigh on Sunday mornings and it has been a little above or a ltlle below the 2 lb goal each week. i use the expression that my sister heard as my motivation when i really eat something i used to or not exercise and it is "nothing taste as good as skinny feels" we shall see....i have not been skinny since i was a very young child!0

It took 2 weeks for my body to adjust to the changes before I lost anything, then it fell off quickly. I'm letting myself plateau as a way to prove I can keep it off and reset my body. Not looking at it as what did I do wrong but as my body's way of saving the current information.0

My first month I lost 22lbs and 17 1/2 inches. The second month Feburary I have only lost 4 lbs and 4". I've titter tottered back and forth all month. What keeps me going is I know that it's for ME... No one else, and if I can't stick with it, no one can help me do this. How much is it worth to me? I want to be able to run around without getting out of breath, want to walk up a flight stairs without having to stop half way in the middle to catch my breath. I want to look good, feel good and know I am better at everything I do because I earned it... You are worth the effort and you will be please once you get to where you want to be...You can do it....0
