since joining MFP my TOM has become irregular

since i started eating healthy, working out, etc., TOM has become irregular. like last month, i was a week early. this month, TOM is supposed to still be over a week away. but im cramping, bloating, etc....i feel like its going to hit me at any time now!

is anyone else irregular since they started? will it even back out eventually?! this is annoying!

    It could be because yoru body is making changes and it is trying to make changes. It should eventually go to a normal cycle again, but keep an eye on it and if you are concerned talk with your doctor. But you should be okay in a few months.

    Me too. 3 week cycles since starting. Weird, huh?

    also be aware that a cycle is supposed to start anywhere from every 21 to 28 days. but when you drastically change your lifestyle, your body adapts. you'll go through some changes and notice some differences. :) if it gets outta hand like she said check with your dr.

    I'm having the same problem. It was fine when I first started working out, but now that I've upped the ante by logging hours almost daily and started training for a run, I've got crazy cramps and spotting, even on my first week of pills. It's a bummer, but I'm sure it will work itself out. Nature is weird like that.
    If not though, definitely make an appointment to see your dr.

    Oh yeah, 3 week cycles here too, I'm just waiting for my body to readjust to what I'm doing and hope it'll go back to 4 weeks lol.

    I have had the same problem. It happened to me when I cut out the high fructose corn syrup. That was the only thing that I changed at that time. Made a huge difference in how I feel too for the better. I have been on a "diet" for over a year and only recently cut out HFCS. Could all be in my head but idk. lol

    I've been irregular as well. The first time it happened I was crying thinking that I was pregnant. It came a week late. Then the next month a week early. I've always been a 28 cycle girl so this uncertainty is frustrating.

    I love what happened to mine... only 2-3 days now :D and very light and about 3 weeks between

  • Yep, every time I start a work out, it does that!! 3 weeks in between each, but the actual TOM only lasts a couple of days!
  • This is defintely true. I started a very regulated diet plan and an intense workout 5-6 days a week. The first month I had 3 of those bad boys, defintely not fun! I talked to my trainer, and this is normal since your body is changing so much, and your hormones are defintiely affected by diet and weight.

    Mines gotten more regular? I usually track by the moon, but now I'm every 3rd Tuesday. WTF>
