It's kinda rambling, so sorry LOL

Soo, Saturday I slapped on my handy dandy HRM, grabbed two of the dogs(Gibbs the almost 2 yr old puppy boy who has a full speed ahead attitude, and my 6.5 yr old who needs some conditioning), and headed to a local road that gets closed down for the weekend for walkers/bikers. It's a good incline, windy road. We did 3.45 miles in about 55 mins, not bad considering how out of shape i am, I even broke into a jog here and there, not for long, really out of shape, getting my knee back into shape after an injury and asthma, so bits here and there. Got home, looked at the HRM, it said I'd burned 765 calories!!! That just didn't seem right, but with the hill maybe it is, unfortunately MFP doesn't have a spot for walking uphill, I looked LOL but when I put hiking in, it came up with the same calories.. .so maybe it was right.

Yesterday I worked at my friend's boarding kennel, lugging dog food and water around, walking uphill to the top kennels, took my 8.5 yr old boy (dog, no kids here)who's recovering from an injury for a nice fast clip walk in her uneven with a good incline front field and my HRM said about the same calories for 80 mins.

I made sure to eat mosto f my calories back, with a net of under 1350 for both days, so was very pleased with myself.

Unfortunately weigh more today than i did Friday (0.8):P Saturday I used the real calories, yesterday I took some off(about 200) Soo frustrating, but i feel good about myself for having done so much, the HRM gives me a better idea of just how much work I DO do, but still so frustrating to see the scale go up. OTOH, the uppage(is that a word? LOL) is a lot less THIS weekend than it's been other weekends, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

But darn do I hurt. . knee wasn't owie Saturday, but is slightly owie today, I made sure to use my knee brace, but thinking I need to buy a new one. I sprained a ligament and ruptured a baker cyst back in September, took it as easy as I possibly can while still being able to enjoy my dog events, and then took the winter off, haven't done anything doggy since November, so am pleased I was able to break into a jog and not come up lame after my walk, but want to make sure I give it support. Definitely going to wear it this weekend for my first doggy event of the year.

And the thighs and calves are sore LOL No pain no gain?
