I get bored with exercise videos EASY! Im on my second round of the 30 Day Shred. The first time i did 4 days and that was it. This time I just did day 8. Any ideas how to keep myself modivated to do Jillian? Besides thinking of a new horrible thing to do to the video everyday? Im on day 50 of MFP, and im modivated to lose the weight, just bored with Jillian already

I personally think you should switch up your videos. I would have 3 or 4 different ones and rotate them. Or put them in a box, shake it up, and randomly pick one. That way you never know what you're gonna get. Doing 1 thing day in and day out definitely gets boring. Not only that, but your body starts getting used to it and that can cause plateaus. It's best to shake things ups.

Maybe exercise videos are just not for you! Or maybe you need to have it be exercise video one day, outside another and gym another...mixing it up will help!

Well you gotta switch things up every once in a while. Plus changing your routine every few months keeps your body from adapting and will help in continued weight loss.

I rotate mine too. I love the biggest loser ones...especially the yoga and the original...lots of kicks and boxing!

I get bored really easy as well. I have 7 workout dvds I rotate based on my mood for the day. I usually do two a day if they are short ones. However, since the weather is starting to get nicer again, every single day that I can go out and jog/walk I do. Getting that fresh air after being inside all winter feels amazing and I sleep great those nights too. Also, I would find a dancing workout dvd. When I really don't feel a real workout, I do my cardio ballroom. Helps with coordination and balance.

I have been working out at home for more than ten years now -- and the key is to get a library of dvd's. (FYI - I have 30 day shred and could never handle doing more than two days in a row -- nothing to do with fitness level, it's just too boring!)

I love The Firm workouts. My favorites:

    Total Body Toner
    Pump Jump & Jab
    Cardio Overdrive
    Get Chisel'd
    Core Solutions

You can read reviews on Amazon - I've found that I tend to agree with them.

get out in the open air. walk, ride, run, swim etc etc.

no good being stuck infront of a tv all the time.

its easy to get bored thats why we try to have support groups to motivate us. I have a good reliable crew on here that i know mean biz, that alone motivates me to get going. besides that  my job has a gym that i use on my break, also a popular gym offer me a gr8 discount for the year and i utilise it. I also have tae bo & leslie sansone for the days i just dont wish to leave the house. I would also suggest if you could find a workout buddy; a friend, husband/boyfriend that might help. good luck

I get bored with DVD's too. I have a lot of them that I really love- but I can't make myself commit to doing the same workout every day for weeks on end.

BUT- that's not necessarily a bad thing. Change is GOOD in a workout routine. Instead of doing 30 day shred every day, have you tried doing it just 3-4 days a week with another video in between?
