I'm working on flattening my abdominal area with exercise but nothing seems so be working. Are there types of foods I should avoid to get a flatter stomach? Are there any foods thatcan help achieve a flat stomach?? Also what exercises can help strengthen my core??

No food will flatten your stomach, only less food and ab work.

Women will not have a flat stomach, unless they are basically underweight. The only thing I can think of to help work the abs though is running, and maybe you could get P90X or Insanity Abs DVD on ebay. The whole system is expensive, but maybe you could find an individual DVD on ebay.

    That may help too:)

    Good luck!

I was reading this article http://www.truthaboutabs.com/fat-burning-veggies.html and it listed foods like: broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale, cabbage, etc.

If your dietary intakes are not optimal, one way or the other, you may find a small change in bloating from managing your sodium and fibre intakes.

My trainer while I had one always told me, if it has yeast in it, you are going to have a bump. Also starchy carbs. I have noticed that my lower stomach doesn't stick out as much when I avoid those foods

I checked out a book from the library that's actually called "Flat Belly Diet Cookbook" It's by Liz Vaccariello.

It's got a lot of great information but basically you need to exercise, build muscle an only let "healthy" foods and drinks past your lips.

"Most scientific evidence suggests that a calorie-controlled diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy, beans, nuts, seeds, lean meat, fish, eggs, and poultry is the foundation for a diet that provides all the nutrients you need while helping to whittle your waistline.

The real secret to losing belly fat is to lose weight on a balanced, calorie-controlled diet and exercise at least an hour a day."
