Hi all,
I would LOVE some support beating down the baby weight blues! Have two kids, and I feel that the family is complete. Would now like to shed all lovely 40 lbs that I gained in the process. New to MFP, have been using it on my mobile for a week now and find it so,so easy to use. Hopefully I can stick to it!
Signed,
Mama ready for a change!

Hey,
Totally understand where you are coming from. I have two kids, a four year old and a 7 month old. And MAN it is hard to lose the weight!! Feel free to add me for support.0 -
My daughter is 4. I didn't care to lose my baby weight until she turned 3. Life is just to hectic when they are little to stress over other things.
I started eating a healthier diet after I stopped nursing (when she turned 1). And I started walking more during breaks and lunch at work. It helped some. I dropped one pant size.
For another 2 years I stayed at a size 14P. Anything more than walking was adding too much to my stress level...you know how it is with little ones.
As soon as she turned 3, I started a gym membership. I went 3 days a week for 45 minutes each (or a class). I worked at an easy pace...enough to build up a sweat, but not so hard as to "kill" myself. After 3 months I was down to a size 12P. After 3 more months, a size 10P. I've hovered between an 8P and 10P. I'm still there. So I decided to start tracking my calories so I can be comfortable in the 8P size.
I'm a lazy exerciser, in so much that I like to work at a moderately challenging level and I hate "killing" myself. At a 10P I still look good. Check out my pics. The one where I am in the red shirt was taken in Sept of 2010. I'm still that size. Maybe just a little smaller. Anyway, you're welcome to pick my brain and investigate what worked for me.0 -
Yep, I have a 7 y.o. and a 2.y.o. When my 7 y.o. turned 3, I was able to take off 20 lbs with WW. Wanting to give MFP a try to avoid a monthly fee with online WW. Seems similar in theory, all about logging everything in, making healthier decisions, increasing activity level. Was finally scared into action last week when I got this weird spasm in my back. I thought the extra weight I'm carrying around can't be helping my core! So here I am, trying to be as healthy as possible to keep up with my little guys...0
