Sorry in advance if this seems like a silly question haha.
So I'm a college student which inevitably means late nights and very little sleep sometimes. I also have a job that I work in the mornings some days before my classes. I use to never eat breakfast but I've been told countless times the importance of eating breakfast for successful weight loss so now when I'm up I always eat breakfast. But on days where I don't have work or I have late afternoon classes(and on the weekend) I've been know to sleep until 1 or 2pm(horrible I know hahaha).
So my question is, does "breakfast" have to equate to eating in the morning or can it just be whenever I get up that first meal I have(even if it's at 2pm hahaha)?

Breakfast essentially means to "break the fast" from the night before. So if you're going to bed late, then you're probably eating late so just eat when you get up.0

breakfast is whatever time of day you first wake up and get your day started.
my husband works night shifts so his breakfast is often at 2pm.0 -
within 30 minutes of waking up... whatever time that might be.0
