Lessons for our kids?

What things do you wish your mother had taught you, that you will teach your kids? I wish my mom had taught me how to care for my skin, and the neg effects of the sun! I bought Isabella (my 7 yr old) her first skin care system last night including daily moisturizer and sunscreen.
I also wish I had a better role model on diet and exercise - my mom and I modeled when we were younger - but our diets were horrific (white bread, bologna and koolaid were staples) and while "active" true exercise was never taught. I do remember my mom wearing a pink and grey 80ies leotard to bed haha
Im trying to teach these things to my three.. 2 boys and a girl. My boys are 14, 12 and my girl is 7.. So far my middle son is the resistant one who wants to be the slob LOL

I wish my mom had taught me better ways to deal with emotional pain....besides n buying things and eating. While we ate together it was always carry out. I wish she wood have taught me to cook. She was a single parent, so I think it came down to lack of time.

I think about it alot - I dont want to repeat the same mistakes.
I hope to teach them by good example.
I was hoping for some good feedback to see what I havent thought about yet!!

Exactly my thoughts. I tend to catch myself automatically buying things like bologna, kool aid, mac & cheese, etc for my kids. I have integrated fruits and vegetables into their lifestyle and eliminated junk food. Now when they want a snack they can grab a fruit, jello, yogurt, even sugar free pudding but I know I can do better.
