It can be if you're not near a toilet.

    *kitten* no!
[quite literally!] Think of the fiber goal as a minimum.

You'll just expel anything your body can't use-- and it's good "gut brillo" on the way through.

If you've increased fiber intake in a short time, your body can 'rebel' and cause you to experience gas, bloating, discomfort, etc. This is remedied by cutting back and then increasing gradually. Or, put up with the discomfort and eventually your body will get used to it. It takes pretty high fiber levels to be of any actual concern.

    Here's a good article on fiber: http://bodyecology.com/articles/too_much_fiber_symptoms_part_2.php

The amount on MFP is actualy LESS than suggested. It is recommended that you get between 25 and 35 g a day. Eating real foods helps wityh fiber. So I am sure this means you are eating better than before. CONGRATS! :-D

If you consume over 40g make sure that you are drinking enough WATER. If not, it will back you right up!

MFP fiber levels are too low! They are less than half than recommended by dieticians! Good for you, keep it up, as others have said, make sure you are taking in enough fluids to offset the fiber. :)
