Hi My Name Is Dorie
I Have Been On This Sight Since Jan 25th, I Have Lost 26 Lbs
I Know It Is Kind Of Slow, I Feel Much Better, I Walk 45 Minutes At Least 4 Times A Week. And Try To Eat Better. Even Thou I Am Loosing The Weight And My Clothes Are Getting Looser, I Am Still Really Flabby, So My Question Is ,does Anyone Have Any Good Toning Exercises That Give Fast Results?
Thank You
Dorie

Hey Dorie, I recommend getting a heart rate monitor and seeing if you are getting your heart rate in the appropriate zone. I can tell you what that is if you want to know. Are you a member of a gym? Also, their is a product called Catalyst by AdvoCare that helps you to hold on to your lean muscle while losing bodyfat. Alot of times people lose muscle when they lose weight and this puts a protective coating around the muscle to protect it during times of decrease caloric intake. Hope this helps. Go to www.advocare.com/04034397 and check out the Catalyst.

I have been following the Oprah Boot Camp and I really like the exercises. Plus, I add a whole bunch of crunches for my abdomen. Get on the website and see if you'll like it! I walk at least 6 times a week and do strength training (also from the website) 6 times as well, with one day off during the week for rest. I'm a type 2 diabetic and it's hard for me to lose weight anyway, but I just started on this plan a short time ago. I'll let you know on August 1st how much weight I've lost. If it's a few pounds, I'll be thankful. I just enjoy the workouts and working with the weights (dumbells). My husband usually walks with me, but if I have to walk by myself I usually listen to Michael W. Smith and that usually motivates me to go on and makes me think I can make it.
Get on the website and see what you think. It also gives you a good weight loss plan too. The diet is based on Dr. Bob Green. I look forward to getting in shape this summer. I also find that it helps to walk early in the morning versus in the evening. I live in E. Texas and it's HOT anyway. I walked at 6:45 this morning and it was pleasant. Sure, I still sweat like a pig, but the humidity was much lower and I don't do HEAT well anyway. Why am I living in E. Texas? My husband and I moved down here in November 1994 and have loved it ever since. Besides the bugs and the heat, we like our life here!
