I am currently about to start a week of nights and I know nights play havoc with my exercise/ eating plans...any tips or help? Lost 3lbs last week and want to maintain the good weight loss!!

I work nights as well, I make a point of going down to the gym first thing in the morning on days i go so that i do not get lazy! I hope that helps!

What specific problems do you come across? And how do you normally exercise? Can you move the times around? Or try exercising at home, like with a DVD? Or just step outside and skip for ten minutes, or mime-skip (imaginary rope!) indoors? Or try some at-home strength training like push-ups?

As for food, why can't you eat the same things as on other days? Do you buy food a lot, or prepare it? If the former, try packed lunches and bring snacks like apples or bananas to work?

I am a shift worker. I work 2 days, 2 nights then off for 4 and my shifts are 12 hrs. I'm fortunate enough to have access to a gym at work so I try to maintain my schedule. I work out on my hour meal break (as I can eat at my work station) and I try to eat the same, just in reverse. I start my nights with my "dinner" (ex: ground turkey, spaghetti squash and sweet potato), have a "lunch" (ex: salad, w/ no dressing, lots of veggies and lemon pepper tuna) at the midway point and end my shift (morning) with breakfast (usually balkan yogurt with fresh berries and cinnamon) as I hate to go to bed with a full stomach. Hope this helps.
