Hi everyone!
I'm Marci and today is my first day here. I could really use some support right now....
I find myself with an extra 25 lbs and feeling pretty bad about myself right now. I hate not feeling like my usual self-confidence self! A little background on me.....I had RNY gastric bypass in June 2004. I did really well, I lost 100 lbs. (actually, I went too low, looked pretty awful there for awhile). My perfect weight is 165. That puts me a size 10 and I look healthy but not super skinny sickly looking.
Well, some pretty serious stress happened. Yeah, life got in the way and here I am needing to lose 25 lbs. I'll save you the gory details, but it was some really scary stuff! Well, it should be over by today or tomorrow (keep your fingers crossed for me!) But I made it thru and I wanted to introduce myself, make some on-line buddies and pick myself up, dust myself off and start all over again. This site seems really great, with a lot nice people! And....this time it's only 25 instead of 80! Any helpful hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I did it once, I can do it again!
Have a great day everyone!
Marci

Keep your head up Marci. Life will always have its ups and downs. Your MFP friends will keep you going if you are ready to commit. Good luck.

Hi Marci! Im pretty new to this site too (yesterday actually). My co-worker introduced it to me....I then introduced it to my husband and another co-worker. I have much more to lose than you (like 50 lbs) and think that having a buddy system will work! Congrats on loosing so much initially! If you can lose 100 lbs with the surgery, you can lost 25 on your own. I have a friend who had that surgery also and she also lost so much that she looked actually sick but is now at a healthy size and feels better. So, with that said, I strongly believe that everything in our lives happen for a reason. Some things don't seem fair (God Knows) and somehow / some way we just keep pushing along. I hope that within the next few days, whatever you are going through, shines a light on your life! Have faith in God (as tough as that is at times) and pray for some guidance.

My co-worker who introduced me is a bit of an ispiration....she is thin, very healthy, and works out constantly. Then, there is my husband who is in a weight challenge at work....so, he is VERY active these days. I hadn't done any type of excersize in about 6 months and Sunday AM, he got up and wanted me to do the Plyometrics with him for the P90X....ok, so......20 minutes (that included the warm up), I was done. Today is the first day I can walk without serious pain. lol

I moved our treadmill from the basement up to our bedroom for easy access. I plan was to get up 1 hr earlier, hop on there, shower, and then head off to work. At the time, I can't do it in the evenings because I work PT then at H&R Block in the eves. BUT, the hubby has been ill for the past 2 days and I haven't been able to hop on.

With all of that said, please feel free to catch me up every now and then on your progress or friend me on here ... I'm hoping the 'buddy system' works!

    Good Luck!

Yes, I agree. Everything does happen for a reason. It hard to remember that, some of the time...It's been a really rough road for me these past three years, but it's almost over and I'm ready to get to being the "old me". Thanks so much for everyone's support and kind words! Best of luck to you also, stay in touch!

Hi Nicola! Forgive me for being "dumb" but how much is a stone? Are you European? My best friend is from Holland and she's constantly teaching me things. It's great! Keep up the good work!
